New work out of the fire and ready to deliver to Anthea Polson Art at Southport Marina tomorrow. It is about a four hour round trip but absolutely worth the drive – the gallery is beautiful and full to the brim of stunning art work.

I am working on new series which includes some of the sirens but includes satyrs, sinners and the occasional saint! back in vintage machine drawers and other boxes. The first images are guile

don’t look away came out of the kiln this morning – this is the final siren for my show in October at Rosebed Street Gallery in Eudlo. She has a patched and embroidered vintage bodice, ceramic, sculpture, underglaze and stains 60 x 30 x 30 cm approx .

Currently I am producing work for a small three person show with David at Rosebed Street Gallery in October.

two more sirens getting ready for completion – waiting for a kiln to be emptied (community kiln),

underglazed and incised, stained, engobes and more colour applied and washed back – these pieces haven’t yet been bisqued.

embroidery textiles pieces obviously won’t go into the fire but will be applied later.

measuring white noise – rud -abot- bot would be a bit of fun if it wasn’t so serious – currently we are in the throes of a federal election –

and the choices provide slim pickings (rudd or abbott) . clay body, muslin wrapped head, stitched with vintage fabrics and vintage tape measure, vintage metal meccano.
