re-working?

caryatid_drawing2I have spent the day re-working this drawing and bringing some of the imagery from the background into the foreground and vice versa – might need to be sleeping on this a bit longer.  It is a large drawing 180 cm tall x 80 cm wide.

  1. thanks really appreciate your feedback – this drawing isn’t going to be framed – I am hoping to just pin up in the gallery , as a consequence I can keep thinking and looking at it a little longer.

  2. For me the delicacy of the top six panels works best in this lovely drawing. Of course, I can only comment on the photographed image! The actual drawing may work quite differently.

  3. I hadn’t really thought about the change in the panels as the drawing goes down but there is a difference in form and delicacy and I think I agree with you. Really appreciate your comments thanks – something else for me to think about 🙂

  4. thanks Elena appreciate your comments – and I am lucky to have the time to be able to re-consider some of the work before it goes on show 🙂

  5. Hi Veronica, I’m enjoying looking at your blog. Are you aware of Scotland based artist Beth Fisher? Your work has a similar quality to hers that I think you’d like. If you google Beth Fisher Scotland some images of her work come up.

  6. Wow – no I was completely unaware of Beth Fisher and thank you for sending me in her direction. These are very powerful drawings and I look forward to finding out more about her work. Thanks also for taking the time to look around my site I’m glad that you found something of interest and humbled by your comments.
