This figure was one of the first large sculptural pieces that I completed 12 months ago.Unresolved it stood in the corner of the studio abandoned while I struggled to get a more thematic group of works together for my solo exhibition last april. Last week I started painting her more as an experiment towards some other large figures that I am currently working on – I am reasonably happy with the result – she is certainly more resolved.

So much emotion. Stirring!
I like to go back to old work and look at it with new eyes. This is lovely
thanks Karen always appreciate your comments 🙂
thanks Rosie – yes always good to look over old work – and sometimes just work on right over the top! cheers
That’s what I did yesterday. It’s good discipline to work over soething, stops me being too precious about stuff.

Thanks Elena 🙂

Thanks we are currently building some new terrace garden beds (we live on the side of a very steep mountain) and I am starting to think that
she could look quite splendid overseeing some of the spaces.
