two of the five panels have been commenced – i am combining stitch on paper with drawing, charcoal, pastel, watercolour , bible pages on plywood. It is very liberating – stitch provides a line like no other!
Sometimes you think a piece is finished – but it is incredibly important to live with something for a little while before you finally make up your mind
Caryatid number seven – fired and stained. I am hoping to complete a bakers dozen to hang along the longest wall of the gallery. Each caryatid will be in a vintage sewing machine drawer.
From an earlier post here is the finished ‘ Travellers in a Strange Land’ – not happy with the photograph – and I will need to spend some more time on this aspect.
